The price of #1's at the border has been very stable. Right now the market is $475.
The price is based on truckload quantities.
Definition of a #1 could vary. I would say a #1 is
a. horn length sufficient for USTRC roping
b. weight range 350 - 390 pounds
c. sufficient condition for immediate USTRC roping
d. no undesirable characteristics such as trace of Brahma, loose sheath, overage, cow horns, chinapo type, bull neck, beef type, broken or shelled horns, etc.
